Spring Day 1 – Sumac

Spring officially began at 6:21 pm, March 20 in Door County, Wisconsin. I took this photo at exactly 6:21 pm on March 20, 2011 and the start of spring. I chose to shoot the sumac bushes because their twisted and curled trunks and branches seem to show the effects of the severe winter weather they managed to survive. Because of the success of my Days of Autumn project I am starting a new project “Here Comes Spring”. I will be posting one photo a day from the first day of spring March 20, 2011 until the first day of summer June 21, 2011.
